In his words

I started off with a 135, and I was very confused.

A course student

I was following the schedule you laid out for me. It made sure I was on track.

Sometimes you just need somebody explaining things to you.

What actually moved his score

I've been coaching the LSAT since 2005. A 135 is where a lot of people quietly decide law school isn't for them. He didn't, and 26 points in 10 weeks is what it looked like.

He asked how Logical Reasoning works before he did anything else. That question is the foundation. Most people skip it and go straight to drilling.

He followed a schedule instead of a mood. Games step by step, then Logical Reasoning, then Reading Comprehension, in order, each day planned. When you start from 135, order matters more than intensity.

Individual results vary. Score increases depend on starting point, study time, and effort.

Full interview transcript

Recorded August 2020, after his June 2020 score. Logic Games was still a scored section then; it was removed in August 2024.

Student: I started off with a 135, and I was very confused. I remember getting in touch with you and asking how Logical Reasoning works. Then I went through all of your YouTube videos, which helped me a lot, and I enrolled in your course, so I had access to all those specific questions, how you divided each single question and how it's described. That helped me a lot in understanding each question type. I ended up at 160.

Student: Your videos and your course were a great resource for me, specifically because they helped me improve on Logic Games as well as Logical Reasoning. I studied for about 2 and a half months. When I started, I started with a 135, 133 I believe. I was supposed to take it in April, but things got changed and I took it in June, and I ended up getting a 161.

Student: I was taking help from other people too, but it was mainly you, because I was enrolled in your course and I was following the schedule you laid out for me. Your schedule helped me a lot in terms of making sure I'm on track. I was doing games step by step, then Logical Reasoning, then Reading Comprehension.

Student: Thank you so much for the service you've been doing for this community. A lot of students walk in with the idea of how difficult this exam can be and how expensive things can be, books and papers and exams, and sometimes you just need somebody explaining things to you. I've subscribed to your YouTube channel, so I still get notifications. It's a great resource for anyone starting out, or who wants to learn more, not only about the exam or question types but about how law school will probably look. It helped me a lot. Thank you for all you've done. You're doing great work for every one of us.
