What the job actually is

You get matched with a student who has already paid, been onboarded, and told us their score, their target, and their test date. No sales call. They show up ready to work.

  1. You run the session. No script, no company curriculum. First session, you build the plan with the student: their schedule, their test date, their weak spots. It changes when their scores do.
  2. Then you coach, on your calendar. You set the hours you're open, and students book on your calendar. Live on video. Between sessions they can text or email you to adjust the plan.
  3. The 1 thing we ask: review the Socratic way. The student explains why the wrong answer was tempting before you explain anything. We'll show you how we run it. Everything else is your call, because the way you think is what got you a 170+.

What we do so you don't have to

The marketing, the sales calls, the billing, the scheduling, the support. You never send an invoice or chase a payment. What we don't hand you is a script. If you've taught for a big prep company, you know the difference.

And it's not a full-time job. The load builds in the weeks before each LSAT date and thins out after. You set your availability, we fill it as students come in, and you keep your other tutoring work, your law school schedule, or your day job alongside it. Rates go up case by case, based on how your students do.

What we don't ask of you

  • No weekly hour minimum, in busy season or out of it. No shifts, no assigned hours. You set your calendar, and you change it when your life does.
  • No rule about law school, with 1 exception: we don't add coaches during 1L fall. That semester eats everyone.
  • No platform or curriculum to learn before your first student.
  • No recorded audition. The application takes about 2 minutes.
  • 170 is the floor, not 172, and no retake restriction.

Who we're looking for

  • An official LSAT score of 170 or higher. We ask for the screenshot and we check it.
  • You've taught, tutored, or trained someone in something.
  • Reliable. Students plan their week around your sessions. Law students, lawyers, and full-time tutors all fit, as long as the hours you offer are hours you'll keep.

What happens after you apply

  1. Rebecca, our operations manager, reads it. You hear back either way.
  2. A short call. Your background, how you'd run a session, what hours you have, and the rate. Ask us anything the page didn't answer.
  3. Setup, then your first student. Contractor agreement, direct deposit, our scheduling tools, and a student matched to your availability and their test date.

Before you ask

I already tutor for another company. Is that a problem?

Not on our end. No non-compete, no minimum hours. Check your own agreement, since some prep companies have exclusivity clauses.

What time zone do I need to be in?

Any. Most students are in US time zones, and evenings and weekends are the hours in most demand.

How many hours a week?

It depends on the availability you give us and where we are in the test cycle. Busy in the weeks before a test date, quiet after. It's extra hours, and we say so up front.
