The LSAT decides which law schools say yes, and what they charge you.

Your LSAT score sets your admissions odds, your scholarship offers, and the job market you graduate into. We coach it like it matters that much.

3 things changed. Your score got more important with each one.

The test

The at-home LSAT is over

You'll test in person at a Prometric center, on a new on-screen interface, with remote testing only by rare exception. Train for the conditions as much as the questions.

The money

The federal blank check is gone

Grad PLUS loans are dead. You can't borrow the full cost of attendance from the government anymore. Scholarship money is merit money, and it follows the LSAT score.

The jobs

The employment gap is public

Every ABA law school publishes how many grads landed full-time legal jobs. The gap between schools is enormous. Your score decides which side of it you apply from.

Stuck students don't have a knowledge problem. They have a review problem.

You take a practice test, check what you missed, nod at the explanation, and 3 weeks later miss the same reasoning flaw in a new story. Logical Reasoning is 2/3 of your score, and it's where that loop costs you most.

Our coaching runs on 2 systems Steve built over 2 decades of teaching this test: the LASER Approach and the Socratic Review Method.

  • L
Learning. The logic underneath the question types, so you stop memorizing tricks.
  • A
Accuracy. Untimed precision first. Speed built on guessing collapses on test day.
  • S
Sections. Timed sections that train pacing decisions, not just endurance.
  • E
Exams and Endurance. Full tests under real in-person conditions.
  • R
Review. The Socratic Review Method. Your coach asks questions until you can explain every wrong answer out loud, because that's the point the misses stop repeating.

Real students, real scores.

Steve Schwartz

Founder, LSAT Unplugged

The first time I took the LSAT, I got a 152. I figured out how this test actually works, retook it, and scored a 175. I've been coaching the LSAT since 2005, and teaching that difference, studying right instead of just hard, is still the whole business.

In the free lesson you'll cover an LSAT question and leave knowing exactly what's costing you points.

What happens in the free lesson

  1. You cover an LSAT question with a coach. Live, over video, on the question types that decide your score.
  2. You find out what's actually costing you points. Usually it isn't what the student thinks. The coach shows you the pattern in your misses.
  3. You leave with a plan either way. Whether or not coaching fits your situation, you'll walk out knowing what to work on next.

Before you book

Who teaches the free lesson?

An LSAT Unplugged coach, trained in the LASER Approach and the Socratic Review Method that Steve built. Same method, whoever's across the screen.

Is the lesson actually free?

Yes. No card, no charge. If coaching looks like a fit afterward, we'll show you the options, and that decision is yours.

I haven't taken a practice test yet. Is it too early?

No. Starting before the bad habits set in is easier than undoing them. The coach will point you at the right first steps, including a free practice test.

Is this for the current version of the test?

Yes. 2 scored Logical Reasoning sections, 1 scored Reading Comprehension section, no Logic Games, taken in person at Prometric centers. A lot of prep material still teaches the format that died in 2024. Ours doesn't.

Your score is the one part of this you control. Start there.
